Riverside Cemetery is an active burial site that exists primarily as a resting place for loved ones. We also welcome visitors to walk the grounds and enjoy our property. We kindly ask that guests follow some basic guidelines while visiting Riverside Cemetery.

• Adhere to all speed limits while driving on cemetery property.

• Please walk (not jog) throughout the cemetery. Strollers are welcome.

• Dogs are welcome on cemetery grounds, but must abide by the Town of South Kingstown's leash laws at all times.

• Please do not litter.

• Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the premises. 

• Help us protect our monuments and horticultural collections by politely not touching them.

• Firearms shall only be brought onto cemetery grounds with prior permission for use at military funerals.

• The cemetery is private and there is no trespassing on its grounds.

• Please bring only natural plant materials for placing at grave sites within the cemetery. Flags are permitted at certain times of the year.

• No person shall disturb or vandalize any structure, headstone, tree, plant or other object on cemetery grounds. Offenders will be prosecuted.

• Please feel free to photograph the cemetery, landscape, plants and wildlife for your own remembrance. We request that you do not photograph any funerals.

• Riverside Cemetery is not liable for any personal injuries occurring on cemetery property.​
